ActiveCampaign Integration

Overview

ActiveCampaign integration lets you send the email addresses of your giveaway participants directly to the ActiveCampaign list.

Before you start

  • To use ActiveCampaign integrations, you must have an active ActiveCampaign account.
  • In ActiveCampaign, you must obtain the API URL and API Key parameters. Learn how to get the API URL and API Key in this article.
  • In ActiveCampaign, you can create a new list for collecting emails from a giveaway. This is optional, you can also send the emails to any of the already existing lists.
  • In the Socialman giveaway, you must use the Sign up for a newsletter action. Only participants who completed this action will be sent to ActiveCampaign.

Connect and configure

To integrate your giveaway with the ActiveCampaign list follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to the dashboard, and click the Integrations tab.
  2. Find the giveaway you are going to integrate and click the Integrations icon.
  3. Find ActiveCampaign in the Add integrations section and click the Add icon on the right side.
  4. Paste your API URL and API Key parameters in the form. Next, download your ActiveCampaigns list using the Click to download button. When the lists are downloaded select the list you want to send emails to and save the form.

Once the integration is configured, the email address of a person who completed the Sign up for a newsletter action will be sent to ActiveCampaign automatically. It will appear in the ActiveCampaign list within a few minutes. The emails recorded in the contest before setting up the integration will be also sent.

Deactivate integration

To stop sending data from a giveaway to the ActiveCampaign mailing list, delete the active integration as follows:

  1. Log in to the dashboard, and click the Integrations tab.
  2. Find the giveaway you want to disconnect and click the Integrations icon.
  3. Under the Active integrations find your ActiveCampaign integration and click the Delete icon on the right side.

Testing

Testing the integration is simple. Participate in the giveaway by completing the Sign up for a newsletter action. Your email address should appear in the ActiveCampaign list within a few minutes.
