GetResponse Integration

Overview

GetResponse integration enables you to send the email addresses of your giveaway participants to the GetResponse list directly.

Before you start

There are some pre-requisites you have to fulfill to effectively use GetResponse, as follow:

• You must hold an active GetResponse account to use GetResponse integrations.
• You must obtain the API Key in GetResponse. To know how to get the API Key, click here.
• GetResponse gives you the option for creating a new list to collect emails from a giveaway. This is optional, as you also get the option to send emails to already existing lists.
• In the case of Socialman giveaway, it is mandatory for you to use the Sign up for a newsletter action. GetResponse will receive only those participants who have completed this action.

Connect and configure

Following are 4 steps you have to follow to integrate your giveaway and GetResponse:

1. Log in to the dashboard and click the Integrations tab.
2. Search the giveaway you are planning to integrate and click the Integrations icon.
3. Search GetResponse in the Add integrations section and click the Add icon on the right side.
4. Paste your API Key in the form. Using the Click to download button, download your GetResponse lists. After the list downloading step is completed, select the list where you want to receive emails and save the form.

When the integration is configured, GetResponse will automatically receive the email address of a person who has completed the action of Sign up for a newsletter. The GetResponse list will see the email within a few minutes. Besides that, the GetResponse list will also receive those emails recorded in the contest prior to setting up the integration.

Deactivate integration

If you want the GetResponse list to stop receiving the giveaway email addresses, follow the below steps to delete the active integration:

1. Log in to the dashboard and click the Integrations tab.
2. Search the giveaway you like to disconnect and click the Integrations icon.
3. Search for GetResponse integration under the Active integrations and click the Delete icon on the right side.

Testing

It is quite simple to test the configuration of an integration. Take part in a giveaway by completing the Sign up for a newsletter action. After few minutes, your email address should appear in the GetResponse list.
