SendGrid Integration

Overview

SendGrid integration lets you directly send the giveaway participants' email addresses to the SendGrid list.

Before you start

• Make sure you have an active SendGrid account in order to use SendGrid integrations.
• In SendGrid, you must get the API Key. Find out how to get the API Key in this article.
• In SendGrid, you can either use the existing lists or create a new list for collecting giveaway emails.
• It is compulsory to use Sign up for a newsletter action in the Socialman giveaway. Because without completing this action, the emails will not be sent to SendGrid.

Connect and configure

To connect and configure your SendGrid list with the giveaway, follow the below steps:

1. Log in to the dashboard, and click the Integrations tab.
2. Look for the giveaway you are targeting to configure and click the Integrations icon.
3. Look for SendGrid in the Add integrations section. Afterward, click the Add icon on the right side.
4. In the form, paste your API Key and download your SendGrid lists using the Click to download button. After download lists, choose the list where you want emails and save the form.

After the configuration process is completed with the successful integration of giveaway and SendGrid list, the email address of a participant who completed the Sign up for a newsletter action will be automatically sent to SendGrid. The email will appear in the SendGrid list within a few minutes. In addition, those emails recorded in the contest before setting up the integration will also be sent.

Deactivate integration

You can disintegrate the giveaway and SendGrid list by following the below steps:

1. Log in to the dashboard, and click the Integrations tab.
2. Look for the giveaway you want to disconnect and click the Integrations icon.
3. Look for SendGrid integration under the Active integrations and click the Delete icon on the right side.

Testing

For testing the integration, you can participate in the giveaway by completing the Sign up for a newsletter action. After few minutes, your email address will show up in the SendGrid list.
